We are excited to bring to your attention a number of important items:

 

First, LeavingMAGA.org is an organization “dedicated to ‘creating a safe, non-judgmental community for those who leave MAGA, as well as for those who are having doubts about, or remorse over, their devotion to Trump and MAGA.’”

 

Robert Hubbell, author of Today’s Edition, interviews founder Rich Logis, here, who at one time was a devoted leader within the MAGA movement. His organization, now in its third year, offers a free, weekly support group for MAGA members and former members where they can sort out their conflicting thoughts and feelings in a non-judgmental environment with others on a similar journey.

 

You can advance the work of LeavingMAGA.org by letting friends and family associated with MAGA, who may be struggling with doubts, know about the organization, posting it to social media, liking its posts and donating to their organization. Among other things donations fund billboards they’re putting up all over the country, inviting MAGA members to leave MAGA. See their billboard message, here, “Having Doubts? You are Not Alone. LeavingMAGA.org.”

 

Quoting, Hubbell, August 12th, 2026,

 

Finally, if you are a member of a Bridge Brigade or standout group, consider promoting the LeavingMAGA.org website and its welcoming message: "Having doubts? You are not alone. LeavingMAGA.org."

 

Second, is an appreciation from Congresswoman Maggie Goodlander for the NH Bridge Brigade. We appreciate her public endorsement of visibility protests! You can watch her message here (5:00). Keep up the good work!

 

Third, the Indivisible Team is calling for 100,000 volunteers to help protect the 2026 mid-term elections. In recent emails they wrote:

 

Hands Off Our Vote is Indivisible’s national election protection program to ensure all eligible voters get to cast their ballot, and that those ballots get counted. Visit https://indivisible.org/campaigns/our-vote/ to learn more and sign up, and sign up now for our Election Protection 101 + 201 trainings on August 19 & 26.

 

More than twenty thousand Americans across all 50 states standing together to protect our right to determine our own destinies; that’s an incredible start this far out from the election. But we estimate we’re going to need at least 100,000 volunteers trained and equipped to defeat Trump's next coup attempt before, during, and after the election. 

 

Here’s how you can help fuel the Hands Off Our Vote campaign right now:

 

 

Amid Trump’s manufactured chaos, fear, and uncertainty, it is up to us to cut through the noise, respond to MAGA election sabotage, and make sure all eligible voters can cast their ballots in November.

 

We urge you to support Indivisible's call for protecting the 2026 elections.

 

Next is an encouraging anecdote expressing the power of ongoing protests. This is a note from one of Hubbell’s readers, August 5th, 2026:

 

We, here in Taos, have been protesting every single day without a break from 9 - 10 AM since April 5, 2025. A few weeks ago, one of our veteran protesters had a car stop at the corner where she was standing with her sign and the Hispanic occupants said they wanted to talk to her. They drove around the corner, parked and came back. They said to her, “We have been giving you the finger for over a year now and we want to apologize for doing that. We have come to realize all of your signs are true. We are so sorry.” If anyone thinks their street protests aren’t doing any good, they should hear this very true story and take heart that one little instance like this may be duplicated time and time again all over the country.

 

 

Our last item is that the Upper Valley Democrats are hosting Chris Pappas and Karishma Manzur this coming Monday, August 17th, at 5:00 pm at the Black Center, 48 Lebanon St, Hanover. Come, hear them share their respective platforms, take questions, and respond to yours. This is what democracy looks like. All are welcome!

We are still on break for the summer. We’ll update you on a monthly basis until events require more frequent notice. We hope you are enjoying our beautiful New England summer.

 

We have more reasons than ever to be hopeful. Trump is increasingly desperate regarding the 2026 mid-terms.  See Today’s Edition, July 17,2026, In desperation, Trump delivers a nothingburger speech in prime time, carried by a single network.  Protest works! Read here how the people of Bloomfield, NJ, got their town to pull ALL of its money –$91m – from Citizens Bank. In response to many such actions across the nation, Citizens withdrew from financing human warehouses for ICE. Read their statement here.

To the corporate decision makers watching, who may be reassessing relationships they'd rather not have to explain, we have sent a powerful message: Do not be complicit in enabling cruelty to our neighbors or violating the values enshrined in our Constitution in pursuit of short-term profit or to curry favor with those in power.

 

In regards to Trump himself, the war in Iran and rising prices have made Trump historically unpopular – see Nate Silver’s Silver Bulletin. As Robert Hubbell often observes, “we have every reason to be hopeful and no reason to be complacent.”

 

A note about our Honk and Wave events: We thank you for your past and future support as we exercise our First Amendment rights at events such as No Kings and Thursdays on S. Park St. in Lebanon.

 

These events attract much attention from passers-by. We receive many indications of support. In addition, sometimes the responses are negative. We urge you just to smile and wave. At times someone will pull over and attempt to engage in conversation. Please remember to be respectful, listen for understanding, and de-escalate / disengage. Remember that these are visibility events, not debate forums. We urge everyone to watch Indivisible Hand’s Off training video on de-escalation, and obtain formal training as well. Many others are available on YouTube. De-escalation and disengagement help keep you and your fellow Indivisibles safe.

 

With the midterms coming, and Trump failing, we know that as a community of engaged protesters we will contribute to the Blue Wave needed to stop MAGA and take back our democracy!

Indivisible NH Upper Valley is going through leadership changes. We thank the former leadership team members for their time and all their meaningful contributions. For now, we plan to continue the newsletter on a reduced schedule. We expect Indivisible National will call for a No Kings 4 event in the fall. We look forward to creating a momentous event in Lebanon with all of you.

Hello, friends,

 

On June 12th, Miles Taylor, who worked for DHS in the orange monster’s first term, published “More Indictments Coming.” In it he quotes Alexei Navalny’s closing statement from “one of the trials against him by Vladimir Putin’s regime...” We, Maddy and Rob, were struck by the web of powerlessness that has entrapped the citizens of Putin’s regime. Putin and his officials have used fear to compel well meaning, intelligent individuals to look away while their lies are promulgated and reinforced by court authorities who, along with the general populace, “stare down at the table.”

 

Navalny died in prison for his dissent. To read the full statement by this champion of human rights, see this link.

 

In Russia, prisoners are allowed a “final statement” at the end of their trial. Navalny noted that the judge and prosecutors refused to look him in the eye as he read his statement. Instead, they looked down at the table. His statement made glaringly obvious that the situation was bigger than his court case. Here are some excerpts from his statement:

 

We are fighting for the hearts and minds of those who simply stare at the table and shrug their shoulders. People who, when all they need to do is not do something vile, they go ahead and do it anyway….

 

Because nothing in life can have any meaning if you tolerate these endless lies, if you just agree to everything, especially when there is no reason to. Just to agree for the sake of saying, “We agree….”

 

I shall never agree with the system that’s been constructed in our country, because this system is designed to rob everyone who’s in this courtroom right now. Everything’s been set up in such a way that what we have now is a junta. There are twenty people who’ve become billionaires who control everything, from state procurement to the sale of oil….

 

People have a legal right to rise up against this illegal, corrupt power, against this junta that has grabbed and stolen everything it could, that has siphoned trillions of dollars out of the country….By staring at the table, we’ve allowed them to rob us blind. We’ve allowed them to invest this stolen money in Europe somewhere. We’ve allowed them to turn us into cattle. What have we gained? What have they paid you while you’ve been staring at the table? Nothing! Do we have health care? No, no health care. Do we have education? No, no education….

 

The paradox is that dozens of crooks every day rob us and you blind—and we allow this to happen!

 

Navalny could easily have been talking about the United States. The Trump administration has doled out $50 billion of contracts to those who contributed to the White House ballroom project. The Department of Justice has been weaponized against the administration’s perceived enemies. We are witnessing the oligarchs and billionaires and trillionaires make obscene profits while our costs rise and we’re told “inflation is good.”

 

But we still live in a democracy and WE are NOT looking away. We are doing the work to bring attention to the administration’s corruption and lies. The economic stresses of everyday life are forcing people to notice. People are paying attention. Trump’s approval rating is at historic lows. The courts are turning back some of his most egregious acts. In his 6/13 livestream, Robert Hubbell noted:

 

  • The Republicans refused to overturn the filibuster to pass the SAVE act, so as to maintain power a little longer.

  • A federal judge in Virginia extended an injunction against the thug slush fund.

  • The Department of Justice has lost its credibility before the federal judiciary; DOJ lawyers no longer enjoy the presumption of honesty or regular order.

  • Per Mark Elias of Democracy Docket there are 157 active voting rights cases including 34 lawsuits against the DOJ.

  • Day after day we are not losing those lawsuits, we are winning them, and you don’t hear that in the newspapers.

 

According to an IPSOS poll, only 16% of the nation approved of Trump’s UFC birthday event. The Trump name is coming off the Kennedy Center. Republicans looking to be re-elected this November are realizing they are at risk if they stay aligned with Trump. The pressure is working.

 

This is where our work together is succeeding. We are not in Putin’s Russia.  We are not “staring down at the table”!

 

Thank you for joining us at our rallies, honk and waves, and meetings, and for joining in with other groups in the Upper Valley who are calling out the lies and pushing for positive change. We are not looking away and because of that we are winning. Let’s continue spreading the word. Bring friends and family. This is what democracy looks like.

Last Saturday about 35 people turned out in West Lebanon to participate in the national campaign to De-ICE Citizens Bank. See it here, on our new Indivisible NH Upper Valley YouTube channel. We are grateful to UVRiseUP, Three Rivers Indivisible, and the Upper Valley Coalition for organizing the event. Check out last week’s issue of the Weekly to learn more about the national effort to pressure Citizens to stop financing ICE concentration camps. (And while you’re on YouTube, please like and subscribe!)

 

If you bank at Citizens, please consider the power of moving your accounts elsewhere. Let Citizens Bank know that you are de-funding them, and that Citizens should de-fund ICE! If someone you know banks there, please suggest that they move their accounts to another bank. From a protest sign: “Good Citizens Don’t Fund ICE Concentration Camps.”

 

Regarding other New Hampshire action opportunities, see the call to action from Kent Street Coalition, “Please call Governor Ayotte (603-271-2121) and ask her to veto the Tax Cap bill!” Click  here and scroll down to “Urgent Action.” Even though the legislative season is over for 2026, Kent Street Coalition’s newsletter from Sunday 6/7 brings our attention to other important actions Granite Staters can still take.

 

For a deep dive into the NH Legislature’s activities, this Thursday, KSC is hosting their NH Legislative Review 2026: Accountability: Beyond the State House and Into Our Communities. “Together with our moderator Sebastian Fuentes and a panel of New Hampshire House Representatives, we will look back at the 2026 legislative session, explore its impact, and discuss where we go from here. (Register here.)”

 

As we reported last week, our work of defending democracy continues with a “Good Trouble Lives On” event. We will focus our July 17th visibility action on messaging the importance of making sure you are registered to vote – and registering RIGHT AWAY if you are not. We are planning a Honk and Wave in Lebanon late that afternoon to raise public awareness. Please save the date. Further details coming!

Hello, friends,

 

We’re excited to share two pieces of good news, showing that the power of the people is greater than the people in power.

 

There was a major win in regards to NH’s voter registration law. A federal judge in New Hampshire struck down the documentary proof of citizenship provisions in House Bill 1569, ruling it an unjustifiable burden on the right to vote and unconstitutional. See the Election Integrity Committee’s Alert in the body of the newsletter, and then see the action items entitled, “Stop wasting taxpayer money on a bad law!”

 

The Nottingham Data Center has been defeated. Hundreds showed up in person to protest, and 20,000 signed a petition against it, resulting in the developer withdrawing his proposal. Please see reporting by WMUR here. For in depth information on the issues related to having data centers in NH, please see change.org’s updated petition here. In addition to concerns about the use of AI in general, data centers create significant stress on the environment and infrastructure, especially in places such as Nottingham that rely on well water. The current economics of AI funnels money to a small number of billionaires, fueling wealth and income inequality.

 

Take action this weekend! The De-ICE Citizens Bank Coalition is sponsoring a National Day of Action, June 6, with an event protesting at the West Lebanon branch of Citizen’s bank, 9:00 to 10:30 am. For further information follow this link.

 

Lastly, we continue to advance our work of defending democracy. In honor of the anniversary of John Lewis’s death, there will be a national event, July 17th, “Good Trouble Lives On.” We are planning a Honk and Wave in Lebanon that afternoon. Please save the date. Further details coming!

Hello, friends,

 

Rob and I are taking a break this week, so we don’t have a newsletter attached. But here are a couple of items of interest that we recommend to you.

 

For hope about Citizens United: News anchor Ali Velshi, on MS Now, 05/24/2026, reported that Hawaii has blocked Citizens United by asking a new question: Do corporations have the power to contribute financially to elections and ballot measures?

 

Answer, “Only if states give it to them.” The rationale in a nutshell: Corporations are created by humans at the state level. The state can determine to give them that power or not. Hawaii decided in a bipartisan bill not to give corporations that power. SuperPACs can still fund elections, but those are people and therefore cannot give anonymously – which changes the game quite a bit. Watch here.

One of our readers shared this story about the power of protest. Amelia wrote, with permission to share her name:

 

Here's my feel-good event from Thursday, 15th of May. While standing by the Lebanon green with my sign I heard a passerby say, "Thank you for doing this." It was a woman with a tiny girl. I smiled up at them and asked if they would like to join me. "Yes, do you have an extra sign?"

 

Turns out I had just cleaned out my car earlier in the day. "Well, you could hold my sign for a while," I said. The little girl came silently down towards me. It was windy and at my suggestion her mother helped hold my sign which was firmly attached to a stick.

 

We exchanged names and ages - she was 3 turning 4. Well, I’m 83, turning 84. Kinda the same thing. After a while they gave me my sign back and we smiled our goodbyes. As they walked away the girl turned her head back and said, “Thank you for doing this.”

 

I feel I accomplished something. She is now an official social activist.

Hello, friends,

 

Indivisible NH Upper Valley’s leadership team and committees are focusing on supporting a major Blue wave at the midterms in November. Our Elections Integrity Committee is aiming to reach college student and first-time voters to ensure they have the correct documentation on them when they go to vote. They are also working on identifying populations who may have trouble getting to the polling sites on November 3rd, voting day, to provide updated information on how to register to vote and to provide rides. Finally, they are looking for folks who will volunteer as poll watchers.

 

Our Endorsement Committee is working on whom to endorse in the New Hampshire democratic primaries, if anyone. Last week, we (Maddy and Rob) shared our personal opinions about candidates in the Democratic Senate primary. We got ahead of our endorsement process and our leadership team, and we should have stressed that we were expressing our personal opinion only.

 

INHUV does have a process underway to decide if INHUV will be endorsing one of the Senate hopefuls. Our team’s endorsement process is included in the body of our newsletter. You can be assured that whoever wins the Democratic primary, we will stand behind them 100% as we all work to overturn MAGA rule.

 

INHUV continues to look for ways to engage the wider community. The Events Committee is considering monthly meetings open to the public with the aim of increasing civic engagement among Granite Staters. Generally, we hope to have activities and speakers so that everyone leaves each meeting with something concrete to do to resist MAGA now and overturn MAGA on November 3rd. We’re hoping to reach undeclared as well as Democratic voters.

 

While the negative impacts on the US and the world from Trump’s corrupt and inhumane leadership grind on, several uplifting items caught our attention in the news this week. First, we note that Grafton County Sheriff Jillian Myers’ name is no longer on the list of NH sheriffs who have signed the 287(g) agreements with ICE. Apparently, the pressure she received to rescind the agreement finally worked!

 

And from Robert Hubbell’s Today’s Edition on Friday 5/15 we learned, 

 

Late on Thursday evening, the Supreme Court issued a 7-2 order that effectively allowed the continued telehealth prescription of mifepristone by phone and mail. See Chris Geidner, Law Dork, SCOTUS keeps mifepristone available on current terms, including mailing of the abortion drug.

 

Hubbell reader Sam Daley-Harris sent him the following email about weekly protest actions making a difference. Sam wrote,

 

Here’s something else most people don’t know about that offers some hope: something that groups have helped accomplish in Trump II through transformational advocacy.

 

  • President Trump proposed a 55% cut for FY26 to the Environmental Protection Agency for FY26. In late January 2026, President Trump signed into law an appropriations bill that provided a 3.5% cut to the EPA for FY26, 16 times smaller than his proposed 55% cut.

  • President Trump proposed a 91% cut in FY26 to Maternal and Child Health globally, a program that helped drive a 66 percent decline in global child deaths over the last 42 years, until Elon Musk came along. On February 3, 2026, President Trump signed into law a bill that approved the full $915 million for Maternal and Child Health globally for FY26, not his 91% cut.

  • President Trump proposed turning the Housing Choice Vouchers program into a block grant with other housing programs and cutting them by 43%. Housing Choice Vouchers helped more than 5 million people in 2.2 million low-income families pay their rent. Instead of a cut from its FY25 level of $32.15 billion, the program was increased to $34.96 billion for FY26 and signed into law by the President.

 

Behind these acts of resistance is concerned citizen action that your readers deserve to know about.

 

In each of the above instances, draconian cuts did not materialize; instead, the cuts were a fraction of those threatened by Trump, the budget remained flat year to year, or the budget for the benefits actually increased. (Hubbell, 5/15/2026)

Hello, friends,

 

The mid-term elections are on our minds. Both in Washington DC and in NH, they bring a critical opportunity to turn back the tide of cruelty, corruption and blatant oppression pursued by MAGA and fueled by the White Christian Nationalist movement. If you have tuned into Jeanne Dietsch’s research on the Free Stater movement in NH, you are aware that the Koch Brothers’ American for Prosperity (AFP) is financially incentivizing libertarians Free Staters to move to NH, take low level political office as members of the “Liberty Alliance,” and then, over time, to move up the ranks into increasing roles of political power. AFP pays them to advance policies that support White Christian Nationalist values and which are, at base, plutocratic. Over the last twenty years, New Hampshire has been transformed into a state that looks increasingly like Project 2025.

 

Despite recent gains for republicans in the redistricting wars nationally, locally the mid-terms offer a significant opportunity to take New Hampshire back. We urge you to become knowledgeable about your local races. It is key to support the non-Liberty Alliance candidates. Get involved in your local political party! And talk to your neighbors. We have been promoting Conversational Canvassing in this newsletter. It has been proven to work and has been spreading in Grafton County, NH, since 2022. Conversation Canvassing is a project of Grafton County Democrats. Want to be part of it? Go to their website for more information.

 

In addition, according to Steve Marchand of NH Politics, Governor Kelly Ayotte is “unusually vulnerable.” Marchand concedes the incumbent governor is always vulnerable, but Ayotte’s approval ratings are much lower than usual across the board when compared with previous NH governors. So, we have a unique opportunity to elect a Democrat for governor.

 

One of the challenges is that Democrats make up only 28% of NH’s voters while Republicans make up 33% (Ballotpedia). Most of New Hampshire’s voters are undeclared - 39% - and they usually vote Republican, per Marchand.

 

Another challenge is that despite Warmington’s terms as the only Democrat on the Executive Council, she is not well known.

 

However, undeclareds typically don’t vote for the incumbent and Ayotte only has one challenger right now – and that’s Cinde Warmington. So, the challenge to any of us who want to see sanity overcome the plutocratic designs of the Liberty Alliance in NH, is to help Warmington become known among Granite Staters.  Accordingly, says Marchand,

 

“…with Republicans having an advantage in voter registration, winning Undeclareds and self-described moderate [sic] is absolutely essential if Democrats are going to take back the governor’s seat anytime soon.”

 

Talking to your neighbors, inviting Warmington to speak in your town, house of worship, or neighborhood, engaging in phone banking, and postcard writing are all proven tactics for increasing awareness of her campaign and the chances that she’ll be voted in. Check out her website here.

 

The Senate race is also coming. Chris Pappas has a lot of money yet offers very little inspiration. His challengers include Jared Sullivan and Karishma Manzur. We recommend you get to know the candidates.

 

Finally, gerrymandering. It has been a very discouraging week with the Louisianna court voting in favor of blatantly racist gerrymandering in the state of Louisianna. Not only is the court’s decision racist. They also violated the Purcell principle which holds that courts should not change election rules close to an election, let alone during one. The corruption of the MAGA Republican party is extraordinary. We need to stop them. The way we do that is by voting them out of office.

 

As Robert Hubbell often reminds us, don’t despair. “We are not potted plants.” Be undaunted, pick a tactic, and take action!

Thanks to everyone who turned out for our SCOTUS Protest event this afternoon. We had 131 positive honks (and only 2 thumbs down)! We thank Executive Councilor Karen Liot Hill for joining us. We always appreciate her positive spirit, knowledge, and determination.

 

Last week, an activist, reactionary Supreme Court handed down a decision promoting racist redistricting. Councilor Liot Hill added that the Louisiana v Callais decision raised the bar of proof from impact to intent, making it much harder to prove cases of racism, sexism, and other acts against marginalized groups. Bill Black, a member of our leadership team, also spoke. He reminded us that participating in activities that turn out the vote for the midterms is absolutely essential at this time, when the advancements of the civil rights movement are systematically being rolled back.

 

Speaking of Bill, this week, Bill's Bills notes that the House and Senate started holding crossover sessions on Thursday, March 26. Now the House sends its passed bills to the Senate and the Senate sends its bills to the House.

 

We have previously urged readers to oppose SB 223, which bans student IDs for voting, and to support HB 1600, which helps voters to register to vote using their DMV information. May Day, May 1st, marks International Labor Day: workers over billionaires. Indivisible and others have called for a day of “No Work, No School, No Buy.” We understand that no school and no work is not an option for everyone. But by flexing our economic muscles to the extent each of us can, we signal to the wealthy that the power of the people is greater than the people in power.

 

Indivisible observes, “May Day offers us an opportunity to test our movement’s ability to do nonviolent, economic disruption.” We urge you to minimize or eliminate shopping for one day, especially from sources that support the current regime, such as Amazon and Home Depot.  It’s a day of non-violently disrupting the usual course of business. Studies have shown that non-violence is the best way for popular movements to succeed.  We remind you of our commitment to n0n-violent action. We condemn violence in any form. This includes of course the violence last night at the White House Correspondents Dinner. Violence only provokes the regime in power to further consolidate its hold.  Trump is already trying to strengthen his argument for his vanity-project ballroom by extolling its enhanced security features. Together with hundreds of other organizations across the nation, we are using the power of non-violence to encourage peace, to uphold the dignity of each individual – indeed of all life – and to celebrate cultural diversity.

 

Non-violent, grass roots coordinated actions are winning all across the country. Virginia’s vote last week on redistricting is an excellent example. Virginians passed the referendum as a result of multiple grass roots organizers and volunteers getting out the vote. Post card writers, phone bankers, door knockers all helped educate the Virginia public and inspire individuals to vote. No violence needed. Yesterday Virginia won its redistricting referendum. Not because of paid strategists or celebrity surrogates, but because grassroots activists didn’t just support this fight. They were the fight.

 

“These are the real heroes of this campaign and frankly, every campaign,” said Finale Norton, former candidate and co-host of the Friday Power Lunch. “But they’re always the ones left out of the news stories.”

Hello, friends,

 

Trump is losing. Orban’s defeat shows how he will lose. An excellent NY Times editorial, “Here’s How to Defeat Trumpism,” laid out the strategy. You can read it in full here. Their main point was that,

 

On the campaign trail, [Peter Magyar, Orban’s opposition] linked Mr. Orban’s corruption to Hungarians’ frustration with their stagnant living standards. In his victory speech on Sunday night, Mr. Magyar promised a country where citizens could rely on their government to help provide good medical care, a decent family life and a dignified retirement. What should matter, he said, was not political connections but the kind of person somebody was…. It is easy enough to imagine an American version of this strategy.

 

Trump’s desperate attempt at an authoritarian takeover of the country, is driving our economy into the ground. Trump’s economic false steps are on full display as his illegal war with Iran forces gas prices to climb. While Trump claims oil prices will drop when he wins the war with Iran, experts declare it will be two years before oil prices stabilize. In the meantime, many other costs will increase as well – all in reaction to the declining and dangerous president’s impulsive, corrupt and self-aggrandizing war.

 

Trump’s corruption is driving many economic woes. Elon Musk and other billionaires donated hundreds of millions of dollars to Trump’s campaign, and Trump paid them back with the big ugly bill’s tax breaks. Billionaires donated towards Trump’s ballroom vanity project, and will be rewarded with huge government contracts to furnish the top-secret installation underneath. Trump’s son, Jared Kushner, has been negotiating with Iran, after being paid off with a $2 billion investment from Saudi Arabia, their sworn enemy. And now Trump is calling for cuts to Medicaid and Medicare to pay for his war machine, cuts that will really hurt Granite Staters. As one Visibility Bridge Brigade wrote, “Our kids fight, Trump’s kids profit.”

 

In the meantime, Trump’s DOJ continues to cover up for the “Epstein Class,” the wealthy and powerful men from the United States and around the world who sexually abused young girls for years in collusion with the sex trafficking ring leader and convicted pedophile, Jeffrey Epstein.

 

Our call to action: let’s keep talking up the connection between Trump’s corruption and our faltering economy. Remember, it’s often economics that determine elections. Recent polls show consumer confidence at an all-time low. The American people are beginning to feel the impact of Trump’s corruption. Join us as we continue to work towards unseating this authoritarian regime in the coming mid-term elections.

Hello, friends,

 

Trump’s war on Iran has been so damaging to the people and land of Iran, to our country, and to international relations that our heads are spinning. The only good thing is that his popularity with his MAGA base continues to fall. Somewhere in the low thirties, the last time we checked.

 

No matter how drastic and dangerous his tactics become, our job is to keep raising issues with our Members of Congress, support each other, and stay focused on the mid-terms, taking action week by week, to ensure that collectively we create a significant “blue wave” in November. Let’s remember that by keeping our hope alive and expressed in the actions we take, we are in step with sister organizations across the country. Millions of individuals – all those folks who turned out for No Kings 3, and more, are all striving to stay hopeful, determined and engaged. Together we will bring sanity back to the seats of power in DC.

 

To that end, if you are concerned about what you can do now, and about politics in NH, please join us next Sunday, April 19th, for our second general meeting of 2026. Our committees provide a friendly, collaborative, and inclusive atmosphere for newcomers who want to help. See the body of the newsletter for descriptions of each committee. We are looking for help! We’d also love to hear your ideas for more tactics for us.

Hello, friends!

 

In light of Trump’s text message early Sunday, we are adding this urgent message to our newsletter. Trump promised to obliterate the infrastructure of Iran if they do not accede to his demands by Tuesday, 8:00 pm. He later told ABC News that if there is no peace deal, “we’re blowing up the whole country.” Trump is obviously unfit for office. Any other president would have been impeached and removed even before this latest offense. We are joining our voices with others across the nation who are calling for his immediate removal under the 25th amendment, or impeachment and conviction. We urge you to call your members of congress to demand action today.

 

Here’s the message with which we had planned to begin:

We are still energized by the 1,400 strong turn out we had in Lebanon for No Kings the weekend before last. Our tasks now fall into two categories. One is to grow the turn out for the next No Kings. If you came alone, resolve to bring someone next time; if you brought a friend or family member, resolve as a group to each bring someone who has never been. If you didn’t come – please join us next time! We are aiming for 3.5% of the population to turn out.  Showing up in large numbers shows the regime, and its multibillionaire enablers, that the power of the people is much greater than the people in power.

 

Visibility events, such as rallies, are critical because they demonstrate the widespread and fierce disapproval of the general populace. You can bet that Trump and his regime are noticing!

 

But they are only one aspect in a multi-part strategy. The other parts include action items addressing current issues. Call your senators and representatives and let them know how you feel about the Iran war. Let them know how you feel about Trump demanding $1.5 trillion for the war machine while declaring there is no money for childcare, Medicare, and Medicaid.

 

And keep pressing them for full transparency of the Trump-Epstein files!

 

No Kings 3 was powerful and uplifting. Thank you all for turning out and for keeping it a peaceful and joyful rally. Because of our actions, locally and collectively across the nation, we succeeded in sending an unmistakable message to the power-hungry authoritarians and greedy mega-billionaires trying to take over our country. They are not going to win!
